Guest Script: Ceylon

A late night cuppa on a first date leads to much more than either of them anticipated…

This week’s guest script comes from director Téja Hudson. Téja and I go way back and she was actually the person who challenged me to do this blog in the first place. We have worked together on a lot of projects over the years and I’m looking forward to more guest two-pagers from her as I really loved this one. What I think I like most about it is that it so effortlessly hints at a much bigger mythology. An introduction from Téja herself,

Since much of my work is in improvisation, it has been years since I’ve written something properly (dialogue and all!) and I felt incredibly rusty when it came to doing this. But by the time I had pushed through the trepidation to miraculously create two whole pages of my own, I was hooked on writing all over again.

This idea is part of something much larger that has been sloshing around in my head for the last year or so, lovingly brewed from a unique combination of several of my obsessions…hope you like it.

So brew your favourite hot beverage, give it a read and let Téja know what you think.
